MARINE WILDLIFE VIEWING GUIDELINES

If you encounter whales, dolphins, porpoises:

1. Be cautious and courteous.
2. Slow down, reduce speed to less than 7 knots when within 400 meters of marine mammals.
3. Keep clear of the marine mammals path, only approach from the side.
4. Do not approach or position your vessel closer than 100 meters to any marine wildlife.
5. Limit your viewing time to a maximum of 30 minutes.
6. Do not swim with, touch or feed marine wildlife.
7. Disturbing marine wildlife is a violation of the Fisheries Act- Marine Mammal Regulations.

These guidelines are designed to help you enjoy your wildlife encounter and reduce the risk of disturbing the marine wildlife.
