Watering Regulations for Sechelt, BC

The use of sprinklers accounts for the largest volume of water consumed during summer months. Sprinkling times are designated to ensure a reliable supply of water for household use and for fire protection. If water consumption is too high, sprinkling times may be reduced or cancelled.

House Numbers	Days	Times
ODD	Mon, Wed, Fri Mon & Wed	7-10am 7-9pm

EVEN	Tues, Thurs, Sat Tues & Thurs	7-10am 7-9pm

Sprinkling Regulations

no sprinkling Friday or Saturday evenings
no sprinkling at any time on Sunday (these times are reserved to replenish the water supply in the reservoir)
a soaker hose is considered a sprinkler
regulations are enforced and SCRD water customers will be fined if they are found to be violating the regulations
hand watering is permitted at any time, however, it is recommended early in the morning or in the evening to reduce evaporation
