
Watering Regulations for Sechelt, BC
The use of sprinklers accounts for the largest volume of water consumed during summer months. Sprinkling times are designated to ensure a reliable supply of water for household use and for fire protection. If water consumption is too high, sprinkling times may be reduced or cancelled.

Sprinkling Regulations
- no sprinkling Friday or Saturday evenings
- no sprinkling at any time on Sunday (these times are reserved to replenish the water supply in the reservoir)
- a soaker hose is considered a sprinkler
- regulations are enforced and SCRD water customers will be fined if they are found to be violating the regulations
- hand watering is permitted at any time, however, it is recommended early in the morning or in the evening to reduce evaporation
