A Large 600 plus lb Female Black bear and small yearling have been roaming Tuwanek this week so keep a close eye on pets and small children. These are healthy looking bears so please make sure that you follow the Bear Aware Program and manage garbage properly. Lexie – “Long standing Mayor of Tuwanek “
Feb 12, 2000 – Feb 02, 2010
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Lexie, long time Mayor of Tuwanek and friend to many. On February 02, 2010 Lexie came home late in the afternoon and lay down on her bed and went to sleep. She had been battling cancer for some time but that never stopped her from making her daily rounds to say hello, have a cookie or go for a walk.
